My headcanons for Rudy (and to that extent, Carol Belle, my take on Mayor Holiday) has changed since I RPed on reindeer-dad. Here are the major ones:

Rudy was a less-than-stellar parent before Dess went missing. One could categorize Rudy and Carol as mediocre parents. They love their kids and want the best for them, but don’t know how to put those feelings in action. Rudy struggled to acknowledge his kids’ feelings, while Carol struggled to relate to them (That home run card in “Shrine”? That was Toriel’s idea). AND they were fine letting their kids explore the forest at night with other kids unsupervised, for crying out loud! So when Dess went missing, Rudy felt guilty and doubled his efforts in becoming a better parent to Noelle (with Asgore basically became the model of a good dad Rudy wanted to follow). Carol also suffered guilt but doubled-down on her strictness.

Rudy, Carol, Toriel, and Asgore were once in a 'square-shaped' polycule with each other (Rudy is married to Carol but also dating Asgore. Toriel is married to Asgore but is also dating Carol). That dynamic was shaken after Dess’s disappearance. They still love each other, but their polycule is less defined as their focus is now more on their primary/married partners.

🫶 - Who ended up falling first? Which of them actually realized that they’d fallen in love first?

Taishiro fell in love first, and he was really peeved about it let me tell you. Crushing on the annoying clingy rebel kid that sits in front of you in class and keeps dragging you out for shenanigans that could get you expelled? Ooooh he was SO mad about it.

I was too busy back then with my crush on All Might to even consider romance with someone my own age, so I was late to realizing my feeling for Taishiro by like 5 years.

💕- Who confessed first and how? Did it go as planned or did shenanigans ensue?

I did when we started the Fatgum Agency together. It wasn't anything special, I'd helped him get his big desk in his new office, we were looking out the big windows together over our city block.. The moment felt right. There was no plan, just kind of an impulse confession. I say it worked out well.

✏️- How canon compliant are you with them?

Most of my My Hero Academia Self Inserts are pretty canon compliant, with a few minor tweaks that wouldn't effect the major plot points. It helps that Taishiro isn't a big part of the plot usually anyway.

🕊️- Give some general domestic tidbits

Back when we first started dating Taishiro lived in a 1 bedroom Gigantification Quirk accommodating apartment and it was stupid expensive. That on top of the amount he had to eat to keep his fat levels regular would have made early hero work impossible if I wasn't playing star hitter in a Major League Quirk Baseball team.

Eventually though we did just buy a house, because it was overall cheaper than the massive apartment, and allowed us an extra room for Tamaki, and eventually Momo, to live with us. (Eijiro, Tetsu, and Nirengeki have solid parents and don't need a space in our home the way Momo and Tamaki do)

Taishiro knows how to cook, but doesn't do so very often just because he doesn't enjoy it. He'd so much rather eat out, or get delivery. I've taken up learning to cook because having home cooking is something parents should do, Taishiro, but so far everything I've made has been burnt to cinders.

My specific frustration is the dynamic that seems to arise a lot when it's The Choice, the main character is female, and her two love interests are male and oh my god they both fucking suck, because the author has mistaken "controlling and jealous" for universal male indicators of truly caring about a romantic interest. It's not that it goes on for too long because it annoys me as soon as I realize this is the dynamic we're going for. Which is often by the time I'm done reading the blurb of the bad YA novel my cruel friends have dared me to read.

Admittedly, this is a me problem. I gotta get better books and stop listening to my friends.

I think there are four different types of love triangles:

The Choice: the center of the triangle is the protagonist, and the focus is on who they will choose and the implications for their character.

The Romance: two points of the triangle are main characters in a romance and the third is a more minor character who acts as an obstacle. There may be more than one obstacle on either side.

The Rivalry: the competitors for the center of the triangle are the main characters, while the center is a more minor character.

The Three Characters Who Are In a Love Triangle: all three characters are major ones who have their own things going on outside the love triangle. This is often a function of a serialized work running for a long time so that minor characters become more prominent and new romantic combos are introduced.

It is possible for the types to overlap or for the type to change over the course of a work. And honestly I think a lot of frustration with love triangles comes from:

People expecting one type and getting another (i.e., thinking it’s a Choice where both options are given similar weight, but actually it’s a Romance and one option is not as serious, or thinking it’s a Romance and being annoyed that the focus is on a Rivalry); or

The whole thing going on so long that you’re like “is this poor woman stuck in a time loop” or “are there no other men in this town”; or

Idk sometimes they’re just not weird and horny enough.

My ideal eternalberrytaya/pink polycule dynamic is Eternal Sugar and Pitaya initially fighting for Hollyberry’s attention and over who’s better, but slowly, overtime, growing to love each other as well.

They are the cuddlers of all time. The nap time fiends. They sleep for a week straight. It’s pretty awkward because they both have wings but Eternal Sugar strikes me as a little spoon.

I also like the idea of ESugar lounging while watching Pitaya and Holly spar. Like yesss babes fight for my amusement.

Also literally all three of them think they’re the boss. Every single one of them thinks that they’re in charge and is either unaware or dismissive of how the other two think the same.

So we all know Charlie and Vaggie resemble alot of Lucifer and Lillith right?

Lucifer is a fallen angel and Vaggie is a fallen angel. Both sacrificing so much for their lovers. Both having different ideals and beliefs aside from the majority of heaven, because of that they both end up in hell. Also literal head over heels for their wives. Lucifer still wears his ring and Vaggie has very few scenes outside of Charlie.

Charlie and Lillith are both demons, although I guess Lillith is more human I think. But, they both fit in the other category. They both have fallen angel lovers. It's said in the opening cutscene that Lillith was an activist who sang as a way to influence. Charlie is an activist who sings in "ready for this" to persuade the cannibals to join her fight against heaven.

Personality and design wise though, Charlie and Lucifer are the most similar. Lillith and Vaggie? From what we've seen Lillith seemed loving in her pictures but calm and serious at the majority, if that doesn't describe Vaggie I don't know what does. Also Lillith wears purple and Vaggie is at this point purple coded 💀

It's implied that Lucifer had romantic or at the least smeggsual 🤭 relations to Eve. Sure it could have been a joke/lie, but clearly Adam gets pissed and doesn't say that he's wrong. I'd like to think Lillith and Eve also had romantic ties but there's not enough shown of them to make even an evidential guess. It's obvious tho that Lucifer at least was with the both of them at some point. (Maybe even Eve gave birth to Charlie since Lillith was cursed with miscarriages. At least if Viv still wants to keep that. No. No... Lucifer did NOT give birth to Charlie... youre jst weird... /j)

So... if Lucifer, Lillith, and Eve were once all in a polycule or at least a vee(two date one)....

In this image below, Vaggie is jealous that Charlie is holding Emily's hands(YES. CHARLIE IS HOLDING HER HANDS, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Charlie is very touchy sshh) which is kind of weird they would include that tiny scene. Sure, it could just be comedic but what's comedy except a person who looks too much into a small 1 millisecond scene. It still puts in a dynamic that at first isn't implied to be romantic but! But, having this one scene still creates a slightly romantic undertone dynamic. Even if it's not heavily implied, Vaggie sees Emily as someone who's taking moves on her girlfriend. (Which could also imply Lillith and Eve's first impression before they got in a polycule.)

What I'm about to say is pure speculation, there still isn't much to go off of in the show at the moment with these six. But I think I have some points that maayyy just be smart for an idiot like me :3. Emily is an angel yes, but we aren't sure what Eve's fate was, where she went or what happened to her after. Maybe she stayed with Adam(after the creation of sin), and if Adam could go to heaven, a man who also ate the apple, then I believe Eve could too, it doesn't matter who started(assuming Adam did eat the apple in the show. Most likely.) What I like to speculate is that Eve went to heaven with Adam, although she didn't feel happy in their marriage and decided to make herself a fallen angel to be with Lucifer and Lillith, her true lovers.

Now the similarities with Eve and Emily? They both are against the ideas of those higher than them in heaven. Emily is against the idea of extermination in hell because she feels its unnecessary genocide. Eve went against heavens orders and ate the apple from Lucifer for knowledge. Oh also look haha their hair is kinda similar in the images below(not actual evidence but still its kinda cool) That's where the current canon similarities end. But ofc the big well known theory is that Emily will become a fallen angel because she goes against Sera's wishes. I HOPE she doesn't but in this show? Yeah, most likely. Currently Emily hasn't taken action, but maybe one day she will, which is the most likely situation. And if I'm right that Eve was a fallen angel then that would also be ANOTHER similarity. (Also. Ya'll.... the woman who picked up baby Charlie in "more than anything" was NOT Lillith. Like okay, maybe she is, but that didn't look like her AT ALL. She didn't have the same slick back mullet. But, in the image below, Eve and the woman who picked up baby Charlie have the exact same hair. Jst another thing I wanted to throw in to further evident that Lucifer Lillith and Eve were in a polycule/vee)

Basically what I'm saying is that Lucifer's stolen wives and Charlie's angels are Canon and no one can say otherwise because I'm so smart. If anyone says they aren't just link them to here and BOOM we got another one added to the small ship. Also. This is so underrated. Ya'll.. the potential is so crazy. The answer for all three of these is a big fat smash of the SHIP IT button, but I’ll answer the questions for each ship individually!

1. What made you ship it?

- Jerejean: Literally the entire premise of The Sunshine Court had me right there for it. And The Golden Raven just took those feelings and amped them up to about 85. It’s the fact that they’re complementary and give each other what they need, and they’re both healing and improving and it’s beautiful.

- Kevaaron: Initially, because why not? It seemed like a sort of ‘pair the spares’ ship initially, but then I started seeing people’s headcanons and fics and was like, ‘huh, I get it!’ Also, Kevin desperately needs a medical professional around him at all times for when Neil or Jean inevitably give him a heart attack, soooo…

- Wymack/Bee/Abby: THE WHOLESOME PARENT POLYCULE! Honestly they are just so good at caring for the Foxes, and it’s amazing to see. I was behind this ship from the second I saw all three of them interacting together.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

- Jerejean: In no particular order, height difference, participation in each other’s healing, partner dynamic, Jeremy learning French for Jean, Jean becoming a dog dad for Jeremy, the sheer sass level of some of the exchanges between them… the list could go on forever.

- Kevaaron: The hilarity value, I’ll be honest. Andrew losing his actual shit over these two would amuse me more than anything else. Also I just feel like they’d be super snarky about their affection, which I always love.

- Wymack/Bee/Abby: Their easy domesticity is everything to me. They have habits and routines and it’s clear they’re seriously comfortable with each other and have been for a long time. It’s so wholesome.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Uh… I’m not sure if any of these things are unpopular, but sure!

- Jerejean: I take the ‘service top Jeremy’ thing with a HUGE grain of salt. I am just not a fan of pinning characters with static sexual dynamics, and also I just don’t think this dynamic is exactly what a lot of people think it is.

- Kevaaron: I don’t actually think either of these two is an ideal match for the other, and there is a high likelihood they could end up killing each other just as easily as they could banging.

- Wymack/Bee/Abby: I… nope. I cannot think of a single thing that is not ‘I love this and I’m here for it.’ 🤣 Sorry!

What is Poly housing like? I already know of mono housing, so I am interested how Poly people would like to be housed.

I really like this question! There are as many housing 🏘️ situations as there are poly relationship dynamics! Off the top of my head, here's what I've heard of or experienced:

Cohabitating primary couple with another/others outside the home with their own place

Polycule living together but each person has their own room

Triad where everyone lives together and shares a bed

Everyone lives separately

Everyone technically lives separately, but sleepovers are every night and all that changes is who's hosting

Polycule is too expansive to functionally describe, so some are living together and some aren't

Lives separately, but purposefully got places as close together as possible. One group I heard of had a married couple living together and right across their back yard was their third!

Polycule lives together, with primary partners coupled up in rooms

And there's probably more! Let's try a poll.

Don't worry about people not in the polycule that you may be living with for the purposes of this poll. IE, you have a roommate that isn't your partner or something.

Anne Mary Jack Ed and Stede are the ideal polycule because they are a font of unlimited drama, they have every fanfiction trope within them (murderwives, toxic homoerotic codependent teenaged gal pals, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, love at first sight), they have an unspoken shared history and a new member who can act as an audience proxy, not a single one of them has ever made a good decision in their entire lives, they're all enormous bitches, the dynamics are such that Edward Teach, most dramatic cunt to ever live, is coerced into being the fucking mediator, they have a mean bisexual and an even meaner lesbian, they have a cowboy and a biker, they have a peer pressure happy alcoholic and a nerd who cannot handle his alcohol to save his life, they have two women who only ever make things worse, they have a butch a queen and a Leatherman, they have two entire deadbeat dads, they're all having a midlife crisis, they're all pathetic, they're all unemployed now, the actual polycule itself is made up of a wholesome yaoi couple and a toxic Yuri couple and the glue holding them together is an emotionally constipated commitment averse bisexual man with a piss kink who mostly shows up to cause problems on purpose, two of them are blorbos and three of them are situations. I'm putting them all in a jar together and shaking it. I'm not letting them out of the jar until they have an orgy.
